INITIAL DISCLOSURE DOCUMENT
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the national independent regulator of financial services. We are required by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), who regulates the financial services industry, of which we are a part, to provide you with an Initial Disclosure Document (IDD). This document has several purposes to enable you to decide whether the products and services we offer are suitable for your needs. It also has essential information about us as a company, what we charge for our services, the products and services we offer and how we are regulated. In addition, we are required to advise you on how to make a complaint should you need to do so.
Who are we?
Total Vehicle Leasing Limited whose registered office is at Suite 5, St Anne’s House, 1 Old Market Place, Knutsford, Cheshire WA16 6DP is an independent vehicle finance broker, not a lender, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our services are to source a vehicle for you to lease and source the financial products and services available to enable you to do so. We are a licensed credit broker; our Financial Conduct Authority Firm Reference Number is 801761. This can be verified by contacting the FCA on 0800 111 6768 or by viewing the Financial Services Register at www.fca.org.uk. We are also a member of the British Vehicle Renting and Leasing Association (‘BVRLA’) and operate in accordance with its code of conduct.
Can I afford it?
We believe that you should assess the monthly payments you are required to make throughout the agreement and ensure you are able to meet these obligations. You should also factor other obligations you already have to ensure you do not suffer undue hardship. If you are aware of any future events that will affect your ability to meet these payments, you should ensure the provider is informed immediately. Your credit rating could be adversely affected if you do not make payments when due which could make it harder or more expensive for you to access finance facilities in the future.
What do we offer?
We offer a range of vehicle leasing facilities through a preferred panel of carefully selected third party lenders from whom we may receive an introductory fee or commission. We will not offer facilities from lenders outside of this panel.
What Services will we provide you with?
We will provide you with either comparable details of firms most appropriate to your lending needs or general information relating to finance products. To do this, we may seek information about your circumstances and objectives to enable us to identify your needs and establish a line of credit. It is always important that you provide us with accurate and relevant information enabling us to try and find the selection of firms offered, from which you can more easily make your choice.
What are our costs?
We charge a Processing Fee of £165.83 plus vat (£199.00 which is only payable at order stage, once acceptable finance has been obtained, as a contribution to the costs incurred in processing the vehicle finance agreement. We do not charge fees for processing insurance products. Payment of the Processing Fee can be made on-line using a credit or debit card or by BACs transfer. We also may receive payment from finance providers or lenders if you decide to enter into any agreement with us, these fees can be pre-set and often vary depending on the product and the volume that is placed with a supplier.
Cancellations
All quotes we provide are no obligation. They are subject to changes in price from funders, manufacturers and government charges. Once a vehicle and price have been agreed and documents have been signed a fourteen-day cooling off period shall begin. This is required to allow enquirers the opportunity to review their documents and deal with the ability to cancel their agreement without any penalty. Cancellations after this grace period are subject to a cancellation fee valued at five percent of the vehicles P11d value.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
Throughout the process of obtaining finance for your vehicle agreement we will need to collect personal information from you and pass this information onto one or more third party lenders to enable them to make a credit decision. We will not disclose your personal details outside of this group of lenders. We can supply a comprehensive list of lenders by request.
