Unbridled luxury in this converted E-Type Jaguar chosen by Harry to drive Meghan to their Wedding's evening reception.
1: It’s Electric
The 1968 silver blue E-type Jaguar was adapted by Jaguar Land Rover last year to make it electric. The car can be fully charged overnight in just 6-7 hours. Jaguar has announced that it will electrify every new model in its portfolio from 2020.
2: It’s Fast
Although electric, the Concept Zero version is still very much a high performance vehicle and able to go from 0-60mph in 5.5 seconds – one second quicker than the original Series 1 edition. However, Jaguar has limited the car’s top speed to 100mph.
3: The reg has a hidden meaning
The car was complete with a special number place E190518 – the date of Harry and Meghan’s marriage.
4: It’s not cheap
Like most things associated with the Royal Wedding, it comes at a price. The Concept Zero version is thought to cost an eye-watering £350,000. But you don't have to dream - why not look at our Jaguar leasing deals to see how little it could cost you to drive a brand new Jag?
5: It’s a left hand drive
Although the car was built in England, it’s a left hand drive which meant it was intended to be sold in the US or Canada, leading some to speculate that this particular car was chosen as a nod to Meghan, now the Duchess of Sussex who was born in the US and lived for several years in Canada, before meeting her Prince.
